A New Chapter
Maria Miller Studio has changed and grown over the years, and this season feels like a return to its roots.
Many of you know that I took over the Studio from Karen Haughey in 2022, who originally built this beautiful community around the Musikgarten curriculum and a love of early music education, including an incredible piano program. Over the years, teaching piano became a meaningful part of what was offered at our studio, and I am so grateful for the families who trusted me with that part of their child’s musical journey. It has truly been such a privilege to continue this legacy, and that would not be possible without the help of my other wonderful piano teachers who were there every step of the way, Miss Becky and Miss Anna.
As the studio has continued to evolve and after giving birth to my first son in January of 2025, I have realized the best way I can continue to bring music and serve families is to narrow my focus.
Beginning in the fall, Maria Miller Studio will focus on:
Babies & Toddlers Music Classes
Preschool Outreach
Celebrations & Special Events
Private Voice Lessons
After many wonderful years, I will no longer be offering piano classes or private lessons.
At the same time, we’re so excited to be settling into our new little studio home, just a few blocks from our previous location. Our address and offerings are changing, but the heart of the studio isn’t.
At the end of the day, I hope this studio continues to be a place where the kids get to be kids, and the grown-ups who bring them get to be human. Some mornings you’re running on coffee and fumes, others can be celebrating a great day with your child, come as you are. My goal is that every family leaves feeling a little more connected, a little more encouraged, and a reminder that they’re not alone in this wild journey of raising a little human.
Thank you for being part of the story, from the bottom of my heart. I can’t wait to show you the new space, and please, don’t be a stranger. Whether you’ve attended a few classes or come for years, I am so grateful to have you as part of our story.
Much love,
Maria

In addition to our change of location and available space, the evolution of the studio and becoming a mom presented a difficult realization. To give every family the experience they deserve and spend time with my own little crew, I needed to narrow my focus, though I will always treasure the years I spent teaching piano.
-
Yes! Our longtime studio building is being sold, so we are settling into Studio Soul just a few blocks away. New address, same heart.
-
Not at this time.
As I’ve narrowed my focus, I’ve chosen to concentrate on sessions of Babies & Toddlers classes, doing more outreach in the community, celebrations, and a limited number of private voice lessons.
If you are looking for music experiences for children preschool and up, I would love to connect about bringing music classes directly to your child’s preschool or childcare program through my outreach program.

Absolutely. You’ll find the same joyful music-making, movement, instruments, imagination, and welcoming community you’ve always known. The only difference is a new space.
-
At this time, I don’t have plans to resume private piano lessons. I never want to say “never”, but I am excited to fully invest in the direction the studio is growing today.
